+ Events

Skaters will be grouped by similar age and by gender (may be combined in certain events). All events will be conducted according to the ISI Handbook and all revisions. The following ISI events will be offered:

Individual Events
Artistic (FS 1-10)
Footwork (FS 1-10)
Interpretative (All levels)
Solo Compulsories (Pre-Alpha-FS 10) – see elements on last page
Solo Program (Tot 1-4, Pre-Alpha-FS 10)
Solo Spotlight (All levels) – Character, Dramatic, Light Entertainment
Solo Dance (1-10)
Special Skater (1-10)

Partner Events
Couple Spotlight – Char., Dramatic, Lt Entertainment (Low, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum)
Couples Dance (1-10) - Similar, Mixed, Pro Partner
Pairs (1-10)

Team Events
Ensemble **

**These events will register through the U.S. Figure Skating EMS system. USFS and ISI groups/teams will compete against each other. EMS Competition Portal to register.

Mini Ensemble, four to eight competitors.  Production Ensemble; more than nine competitors.


+ Registration/Entry Information

ISI Announcement

The only method of registration is online. Entries must be completed and paid for by June 9th, 2024 11:59pm ET. Online registration with a credit card is the only method of registration. Each transaction includes a $3 transaction fee.

Early Bird Discount of $15 is available for entries completed by May 7th 11:59pm ET. Enter coupon code EARLYBIRD at checkout.

Late entries and changes to your entry after this date may be accepted at the discretion of the Figure Skating Director and will be assessed a fee – Late Fee - $50, Change Fee - $30. All processing fees and additional late fees are non-refundable. No refunds will be given after the close of entries.

Fees:
Individual events - $80 first event, $45 additional event
Tot events - $70 first event, $35 additional event
Partner events - $40 first event per skater, both skaters must register separately

 

+ Eligibility

The competition will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines contained in the latest edition of the ISI Handbook along with the current ISI Rule Revisions.

All competitors must represent a current ISI Administrative Member facility or club. It is permissible for skaters to represent one-member facility for solo/partner events and a different member facility for group/team events. All entries must be approved by the skater’s coach. All competitors must compete at their highest test level passed and comply with the equivalency chart levels.

All tests must be registered with the ISI Headquarters by June 9, 2024. Any skater wishing to compete in Artistic, Footwork, Interpretive, Spotlight etc. is still required to pass and register a test level (Pre-Alpha – Delta, traditional Freestyle or Open Freestyle) to determine the level for those event entries. Members of other organizations are eligible and welcome to compete in ISI competitions as long as they are Individual or Professional Members of ISI and have all their ISI tests passed and registered with the ISI Headquarters.

U.S. Figure Skating members should register through EMS for the USFS competition and events which is being held at a separate facility.


+ Music Submission

All music must be emailed before July 10, 2024 11:59pmET to SGAfigureskating@gmail.com. The email and music file must meet the following:

·         File type: must be .mp3 format

·         File name: SkaterFirstName_SkaterLastName_EventName.mp3 where the yellow information is the registered skater’s name

·         Email Subject: ISI Music – SkaterLastName where the yellow information is the registered skater’s name

Please make certain to bring a phone with the music as a backup!


+ Schedule

Competitors may be scheduled on any day or time during the announced dates of the competition. The competition and practice ice schedule will be posted on the competition website after the close of entries but no later than two weeks before the competition. All participants will be notified via email once available.

Friday evening, starting at 4pm, there will be an opening ceremonies and athlete parade. We will not schedule any events during this time so athletes can participate in this unique and fun event! Please see the opening ceremonies webpage for more information regarding schedule and tickets.

Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place skaters.  Ribbons awarded to 4th place skaters.
